Great Post and questions. Yes I do believe that our business holds the same values up as Mcchargue Construction. As far as attracting employees that believe the same, and creating a business around that idea, it is a trial and error process. Our hiring process is important as multiple people interview each person to insure they fit the necessary belief structure. The culture will naturally follow the beliefs of the leaders of the company. Keeping your prinicples in line at all times as a business owner is key to building a culture that reflect those ideals. Consistency is important to employees, it gives them guidelines to make their day to day decisions.

Interesting, You are pointing to a nrtnuriug role. You enjoy helping people. The sense of accomplishment that comes with helping someone out serves as your muse. I think this is great, and probably reflects back to your time in retail as a manager. I don't think people usually connect an accounting related firm with service. This makes your firm unique and I would venture a bet that it is a key reason for your continued success. Do you think you naturally try to hire employees of the same ilk? Does the culture in the firm reinforce your own personal feelings towards service? If so, how do you accomplish this?

Great Blog! I feel truly blessed to have the otptrounipy to be a business owner at such a young age and also to have the family support system that I do. My muse is my future, I yearn for success. Not just monetarily but success in becoming a well rounded person. In the last 7 months I have learned so very much. Although some days I feel overwhelmed, I love the challenge and I love the feeling that little by I am conquering obstacles. The family support and daily learning opportunities are invaluable. The five of us may be young, in respect to the business world, but with our youth comes a fresh outlook. We were raised to NEVER stop fighting, our perseverance can carry us through anything. I also believe that in all of our differences are where we find our strengths. At the end of the day I wouldn't chose any four other siblings to be in this with. Reading your blogs lately have really given me some great chances to look in the mirror.

Wow,

Nice work Perque. This is a school I can only dream of having attended. Truly beautiful.

Did your installer hand make those designs in the tile? How did he lay it without having bumps show through?
